Christmas Tree Lighting in Menifee Saturday, December 7th

Veterans Day Home Dedication Ceremony for Corporal Timothy Jeffers

On May 18, 2006, he was just 3 months into a 7-month deployment when he came across and dismounted a lead security convoy and became the victim of an IED explosion. His rehabilitation is ongoing, but now with the help of The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, who builds specially-adapted, custom-designed Smart Homes for our most catastrophically injured veterans, Corporal Jeffers is well on his way to a new beginning! With a brand-new, mortgage-free home at Dakota at Audie Murphy Ranch in Menifee, Corporal Jeffers will now have the home of his dreams. This special event is open to the public so don’t miss your chance to be a part of bringing Corporal Jeffers home. The city of Menifee will also be having a VA 5k in the morning and it is expected to end at 11 a.m.

Come out to La Ladera Park in Menifee on Saturday, November 2 at 8 a.m. for our annual Turkey Trot. Dress in your festive Thanks & Giving gear and earn extra miles for 100 Mile Club, an organization that empowers kids and families to achieve a healthy lifestyle through physical activity. You can run, trot or walk your way to the finish line. Please be sure to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Menifee Cupboard. The spooky season is here. Bring the family out to Swim Safe Aquatics on October 12th from 4-8 pm for a Spooktacular Trunk or Treat and family friendly Halloween movie! There will be a music, games, a bouncy house, vendors and lots of candy and treats for the kiddos. The Teal Pumpkin Project, a non-profit organization that raises awareness of food allergies, will also be there with allergy-friendly treats raising awareness. All proceeds will go to the Hope Floats Foundation, which provides needed swim scholarships to those who need them.
