Bring the Kids to Moonlight Movies in the Park

It’s a perfect summertime activity for the entire family! Grab a beach blanket and some chairs, and enjoy popular children’s movies under the stars. On Friday, June 15th, Jumanji will be shown and on Friday, June 22nd, Moana will be screened on the lawn at Temeku Hills Park in Temecula. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. and the movies start at dusk. Moonlight Movies in the Park are free family events, so don’t miss it!

 

Don’t miss the Temecula Citywide Clean-Up on May 12th!

The City of Temecula is helping you dispose of your household waste and large materials that can’t be placed in your trash can. If you have anti-freeze, motor oil, auto batteries, household electronics and other large bulky items bring them to the Temecula Citywide Clean-up on May 12th . The City of Temecula and CR&R are sponsoring this program and will be accepting items at Chaparral High School in Temecula from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proof of residency is required. Please do not bring hazardous waste items, including batteries, chemicals, solvents and needles, as they will not be accepted.

Lace up your running shoes for the 7th Annual St. Patrick’s Day 5K & 15K on March 17th. Walk or run this challenging, hilly course that takes participants through country roads and the Cougar Vineyard & Winery in beautiful Temecula. Enjoy a glass of green bubbly at the finish line (21+) and receive a cute green succulent! A portion of event proceeds support the Rose Again Foundation to benefit orphans and foster children in the Temecula region. All ages are welcome to participate in this festive family run!

Don’t miss the most glam women’s running series in the nation! It’s all about girl power! Mark your calendar for the Special Edition Divas Half Marathon & 5K in Temecula on February 17th! Get glam, have a great run and enjoy complimentary wine tasting after the race. Both races kick off at 7:30 a.m. at the Monte De Oro Winery & Vineyard. All participants receive pink tutus with their registrations and other specialty items. This race is capped at 2,000 runners, so register now to guarantee your spot!

Every weekend from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the front picnic grounds showcase vendors with handmade jewelry, paintings, ceramics and so much more! Christmas Tree Lane Makes a Difference in the Local Community

Don’t miss a special opportunity to be part of the holiday magic, visit Christmas Tree Lane at the Promenade in Temecula. Now through December 12th, 20 professionally decorated Christmas trees will be on display and raffled off to benefit the mission of Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley. These spectacular trees are located on the lower level outside Macy’s Women and Home Departments. Volunteers are also needed, sign up by calling 951.296.3362.

The annual Menifee Christmas Tree Lighting Event on December 9th is a fantastic community event for the entire family! The kids will get a thrill watching Santa and Mrs. Claus light the tree, plus there will be food and craft vendors, a Kids Snow Zone and Jumpers, photos with Santa and more! This special event is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Menifee Town Center, see you there!

Don’t miss tons of family fun at the annual Big Horse Corn Maze and Harvest Festival in Temecula. Explore Southern California’s largest corn maze, plus festivities that include pony rides, hayrides, pillow jump, rock wall, face painting, zip line and more! There will also be hoola hoop and pie eating contests, pumpkin bowling and other great activities. Make sure to stop by the pumpkin patch to find your favorite! The festival runs through October 30th.

Write a message in the Keepsake Journal, enjoy light music and share a quiet moment to remember and honor those who were lost during this unimaginable national tragedy. The September 11th Remembrance is 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Temecula Duck Pond.
