On May 18, 2006, he was just 3 months into a 7-month deployment when he came across and dismounted a lead security convoy and became the victim of an IED explosion. His rehabilitation is ongoing, but now with the help of The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, who builds specially-adapted, custom-designed Smart Homes for our most catastrophically injured veterans, Corporal Jeffers is well on his way to a new beginning! With a brand-new, mortgage-free home at Dakota at Audie Murphy Ranch in Menifee, Corporal Jeffers will now have the home of his dreams.
