Foodies get ready to celebrate Temecula Valley Restaurant Month throughout the month of January. This year, Temecula Valley presents signature “Burgers” from local chefs made with farm-fresh ingredients from restaurants in Old Town Temecula, Temecula Wine Country, Pechanga Resort & Casino and surrounding areas. During restaurant month, visitors can immerse themselves in all things culinary throughout Temecula Valley, such as farmers’ markets, special chef events, Restaurant Month specialty burgers, winery and brewery tours. The city of Temecula is hosting a special evening to commemorate the 17th anniversary of September 11th. Write a message in the Keepsake Journal and take some time to reflect as we honor those who tragically gave their lives in service to this country. There will also be light music and refreshments following the program, which is free to the public. The September 11th Remembrance is at the Temecula Duck Pond and Veterans Memorial from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
February is the Month of Love and the perfect occasion to enjoy a romantic carriage ride with your Valentine. Costs vary per package with the Temecula Carriage Company. You and your sweetheart can enjoy a one-hour private horse drawn carriage ride for $150 per couple that includes a bottle of wine, or there is also a two-hour package as well as a 25-minute ride for $60 per couple. The city of Menifee is hosting family-friendly Movies in the Park 2016, where you can watch Star Wars on June 18th and The Sandlot on June 25th! The Menifee Family Camp Out is the perfect way to celebrate Father’s Day! From June 11th at 3:00 until June 12th at noon, the family can experience the fun and festivities of a traditional camp out. Activities will include a Saturday night dinner and Moonlight Movie, activities & picnic games, crafts, nighttime campfire with s’mores, and Sunday breakfast at La Ladera Park. Located within walking distance for residents at Audie Murphy Ranch, get together with friends and neighbors and enjoy the array of activities the festival has to offer. These include food vendors, live music, trick-or-treating, roving entertainment, a kid’s zone, costume contests, a petting zoo and more!
